One last journey south on the river today: We're taking Shawn's duck down to Stevens Point to explore the flooded west side. #zompocalypse
06:05 AM #
I'll be out of range of The Anomaly and the "weakness between worlds" it creates, so I'll be out of touch until we return. #zompocalypse
03:30 PM #
Back safely. It's going to take awhile to get the smell of stagnant water and decay out of my nose. What a mess things are down there.
03:33 PM #
The floods that started the first spring after the zombies rose really did a number on large chunks of Stevens Point. #zombies #zompocalypse
03:36 PM #
Shawn piloted his duck thru backwaters that used to be residential neighborhoods, using his fish-finder sonar to avoid underwater obstacles.
03:39 PM #
There were several "islands" of less-ravaged neighborhoods. We didn't find any survivors, but we did find a home with ham radio antennas.
03:42 PM #
There were two radios inside the abandoned home: one short-range, one long. Shawn's going to install them on his duck. This is a big deal.
03:45 PM #
It's important because, unlike our radios, Shawn's will be mobile. Broadcasting won't be as likely to lead raiders to his location.
03:48 PM #
Soon, Shawn will be able to call out to other survivors of the zombie plague around the world! Two-way communication at last! #zompocalypse
03:51 PM #
Our time on the duck, isolated from the weakness between worlds that allows you to see my tweets, had us talking about other possibilities.
03:54 PM #
One of those ideas is so radical that I'm not quite ready to talk about it yet. Frankly, I'm a little afraid of implementing it.
