Back at the cell tower. My escorts are clearing out the zombies we attracted yesterday while I continue my report about the cannibal camp...

11:45 AM #
It took awhile to quietly free the prisoners. The cannibals' noisy, heated meeting gave us cover long enough to lead the prisoners away.

11:45 AM #
We were overloaded, slow. I took the prisoners away to the north while the rest of my companions went back to slow the inevitable pursuit.

11:45 AM #
When we got back to our horses, we put the prisoners in the worst shape on the animals' backs, dumping some gear from our pack animals.

11:45 AM #
I haven't seen those brave men since. We agreed to meet up at Camp Tesomas, the nearest friendly survivor colony we knew of. It's been days.

11:47 AM #
In the two days it took me to get the rescued prisoners to Camp Tesomas, they told me what they'd learned in their time with the cannibals.

11:47 AM #
All the prisoners were from a small group of survivors who'd been caught in an ambush where 8 & 45 intersect. All their goods were taken.

11:47 AM #
One of their group was killed in the short fight. Their captors waited to see if he reanimated. When he didn't, they harvested his flesh.

11:47 AM #
The cannibals, in the Northwoods to loot, tortured their prisoners in hopes of learning the whereabouts of any other survivor groups nearby.

11:48 AM #
It turns out that the minibike rider was one of several sent to retrieve dozens of similar raiding parties ranging throughout the Northwoods

11:48 AM #
The cannibals' pillaging mission was interrupted by a CB radio message similar to what we overheard a few nights ago: an emergency recall.

11:48 AM #
The camp we found was a rendezvous point for several of them. The rider's message: their home territory was under massive Reaper attack.

11:51 AM #
One cannibal told the prisoners they were lucky: The situation required recruits. The prisoners could choose: Fight for them--or feed them.

11:52 AM #
I hoped the cannibals' recall meant my friends from the Farm Colonies wouldn't be hotly pursued, but they still haven't shown up. #zombies

11:53 AM #
And of course, we still haven't learned what happened to Shawn, Tina, and the others on the Millennium Mallard. #zombies #zompocalypse

All this news reached Pete via secure radio relay shortly after I reached Camp Tesomas with the rescued prisoners. Now you're caught up.
